Stress Reduction For Prisoners is a comprehensive 12-week program designed to help inmates overcome the effects of extreme stress and trauma endured during incarceration, and heal from the stress and trauma of their early lives.
Developed over 10 years with support from the University of Arizona, Stress Reduction for Prisoners has proven successful in transforming inmates' paradigms by addressing the core causes of criminal thinking and behavior. This expansive curriculum has proven revolutionary in its positive impact on the lives of hundreds of inmates across the state of Arizona.
The program covers various contributing factors of criminality and substance abuse, and ultimately helps inmates answer the question, "Why am I in prison?"
Anger, rage, trauma, substance abuse, the ego, victims' impact,
obsessive compulsions, death, and more.
Motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (Stop, Breathe, Go), positive behavior reinforcement, meditation, yoga, stress reduction coloring book and art, dream boarding, journaling, support groups, mindfulness, social and emotional learning (SEL), and more.
